The Brownsville Falcons won the last time they faced the Geibel Catholic Gators, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Brownsville enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over Geibel Catholic. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brownsville.
Geibel Catholic's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gary Tarbuk, who scored 18 points, and Tommy Kolencik who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Tarbuk.
Even though they lost, Geibel Catholic were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Brownsville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Geibel Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Brownsville and Yough will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Yough presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brownsville in Pennsylvania (Yough is ranked 77th, while Brownsville is ranked 305th). As for Geibel Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Carmichaels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
