Webb (Knoxville, Tenn.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Battle Ground Academy (Franklin, Tenn.), 38-6, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Johnny Chun touchdown pass to
Liam Willoughby in the first quarter, the Spartans led 28-0 at the half.
Webb grew its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
Battle Ground Academy's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Wildcats came in giving up 14.6 points per game this season. Led by
Todd Kelly, the Knoxville school went into the matchup giving up only 16.8 points per game.
The loss comes after Battle Ground Academy defeated Davidson Academy 41-0 last week. The win brought Webb's winning streak to four games.
Webb (4-2) goes up against Ezell-Harding Christian in a Division II-A game matchup next week, while Battle Ground Academy (5-3) locks horns with Zion Christian Academy also in a Division II-A game.
