The Gloucester County Christian Conquerors will square off against the King's Christian Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Gloucester County Christian will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Cumberland Christian on Monday. The Conquerors put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 15-3 win. The Conquerors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

David Dellarova was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Greenwood, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Gloucester County Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, King's Christian made easy work of Calvary Academy on Monday and carried off a 14-1 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Warrior recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Sam Yoo and Bryce Brown were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Yoo struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Brown tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because King's Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5 otherwise. At the plate, Yoo went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Brown went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Brown is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, King's Christian let Levi Smith and Aiden Lawlor run wild. Smith went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Lawlor went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. King's Christian is undefeated when Smith posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Matty Pancurak, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Gloucester County Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for King's Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Gloucester County Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like King's Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .507. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Gloucester County Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Conquerors repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
