Hines-Bass scored a full 48.4% of Southern Wayne's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kyren Strong was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Goldsboro put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 63-25 victory over South Granville on the road. Considering Goldsboro has won four matches by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Southern Wayne's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Goldsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
