The Armwood Hawks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Bloomingdale Bulls on February 9th. Armwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Armwood extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Palmetto. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 59-48.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Manatee, posting a 55-23 win on the road. Bloomingdale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bloomingdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jatia Markes, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Markes continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Noelle Mengel, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Armwood has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Bloomingdale, their victory bumped their record up to 25-0.
Armwood came up short against Bloomingdale in their previous meeting back in January, falling 38-26. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mengel, who scored 20 points.
