Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Raleigh-Egypt came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Craigmont with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. Given Raleigh-Egypt's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Craigmont is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Millington Central didn't have too much trouble with Craigmont at home on Thursday as they won 74-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Millington Central.
Millington Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andre Tyler, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tyler has scored all season. Aiden Maclin was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Raleigh-Egypt is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Millington Central, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Raleigh-Egypt didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Millington Central in their previous meeting on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 72-68 win.
