Basketball Recap: Chatham Homeschool Skates Past Faith Homeschool with Ease

Chatham HomeSchool waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 79-35 victory over the Faith HomeSchool Warriors. With the Thunder ahead 44-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Chatham HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Teague, who went 11 for 13 on his way to 24 points along with six boards and three steals. Teague's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Coletta, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Faith HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Casey Jacobson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Jacobson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Joshua Blake was another key player, putting up eight points and eight boards.

Chatham HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Faith HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Chatham HomeSchool has already played their next contest, a 74-46 victory against Surry HomeSchool on the 24th. As for Faith HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-44 defeat against New Life Camp on the 27th.
