Basketball Recap: Haynes Academy Takes a Loss

Haynes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 42-31 to the Willow Lions. Haynes Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Willow apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Haynes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Willow, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Haynes Academy will take on East Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Willow, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Willow Lions challenge the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Willow is facing Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at the right time seeing as Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
