Basketball Recap: Freeman Skates Past Bon Homme with Ease

Freeman hadn't done well against Bon Homme recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Freeman Flyers claimed a resounding 60-30 win over the Bon Homme Cavaliers. The victory was familiar territory for the Flyers who have now won five games in a row.

Freeman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tate Sorensen, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Walter, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points.

Freeman was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Freeman's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Bon Homme, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman will head out to face off against Centerville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Freeman likes a good challenge. As for Bon Homme, they will square off against Chamberlain at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bon Homme is facing Chamberlain at the right time seeing as Chamberlain is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
