The Sapulpa Chieftains lost against the Memorial Chargers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sapulpa fell 59-51 to Memorial.
Jalil Cotton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Memorial, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Cotton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Johnson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Sapulpa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Memorial, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sapulpa will take on Edison at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Edison is coming into the game with four straight wins on the road, meaning Sapulpa will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Durant at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
