The West Noble Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Elkhart Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Noble is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
West Noble struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (Prairie Heights had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. West Noble lost to Prairie Heights on the road by a decisive 46-31 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Alexia Mast, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Recendiz, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Elkhart, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-35 loss to Fort Wayne Northrop on Friday. While losing is never fun, Elkhart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Fort Wayne Northrop is ranked 33rd).
West Noble bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Elkhart, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
