Westmark has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Summit View Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Westmark suffered a tough 60-35 loss at the hands of San Fernando Valley Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Westmark has suffered against San Fernando Valley Academy since December 4, 2014.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Summit View, who are still winless after their fifth match. They took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newbury Park Adventist.
Westmark's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Summit View, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Westmark strolled past Summit View in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 57-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westmark since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
