The Franklin Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Hayesville as Franklin made off with a 76-56 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Brannon, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brannon has scored at least 25% of Franklin's points. Max Mcclure was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 9 rebounds.
Franklin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Hayesville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will be home for the holidays to greet East Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayesville will take on Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while Hayesville is ranked 179th).
