After a string of four wins, the Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm's's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They fell just short of Peddie by a score of 66-63. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mercersburg Academy in their matchups with Peddie: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Mercersburg Academy still got an impressive performance from Thaddeus Lee, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Lee's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Schmidt, who scored 3 points along with 7 assists and 3 steals.
Mercersburg Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Peddie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercersburg Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th. Highland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 399 points over their last six games. As for Peddie, they will head out on the road to face off against Malvern Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
