The City of Life Christian Academy Warriors's game on Thursday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 58-49 to International Community. City of Life Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as International Community apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
City of Life Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Manlove, who scored 14 points. Manlove scored a full 28.6% of City of Life Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Campbell, who scored 10 points.
International Community found their leader in underclassman Paxton Boaz, who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Boaz has scored at least 25% of International Community's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Andrescik, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for City of Life Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for International Community, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. City of Life Christian Academy will take on Hampden DuBose Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. International Community won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Dimensions at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. New Dimensions presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than International Community in Florida (New Dimensions is ranked 230th, while International Community is ranked 620th).
