Atlantic moved up to 281 from 315 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A District 7. The Sharks climbed the ranks as a result of a 26-20 win over Eustis.
Bishop Moore extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Poinciana, 48-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Hornets.
Lake Nona's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TUCKER ISRAEL threw for 362 and five touchdowns and RYAN SOUSA had 171 yards receiving. On the ground MARC ARISTIDE chipped in 74 yards. DEONDRE FARRIER helped Lake Nona's passing attack out by catching four balls for 72 yards.
ISRAEL has thrown for 1452 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while SOUSA has 44 catches for 561 yards. MICHAEL SANTIAGO leads the league in rushing with 447 yards.
Lake Nona was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in 5A District 7. Earlier in the week, Anthony Paradiso's team triumphed over Tavares 42-7.
