Laconia hasn't had much luck against Kingswood recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Sachems will be playing at home against the Knights at 4:00 p.m.
Laconia is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since May 7, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Kennett by a score of 4-2. The loss put an end to the Sachems' undefeated start to the season.

Kaitlyn Durfee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Durfee is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Kingswood was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 22-10 margin over Souhegan. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Sabers: they've now won four in a row.
Kingswood got a massive performance out of Miley B, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rheegan S, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Kingswood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Souhegan only posted an OBP of .231.
Kingswood's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Laconia, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Laconia has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kingswood struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Laconia suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Kingswood in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Sachems have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
