The Clairton Bears lost against the South Park Eagles back in January of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Clairton fell 55-45 to South Park. Clairton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was DaShawn Hines, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Hines scored a full 28.9% of Clairton's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taris Wooding, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Clairton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for South Park, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Springdale at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Springdale is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. South Park will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southmoreland at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th.
