Desert Vista is 7-1 against Mountain View since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Thunder will venture away from home to take on the Toros at 3:45 p.m. One thing working in Desert Vista's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Desert Vista's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Skyline 10-0. Considering the Thunder have won 15 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Madyson Purdy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Desert Vista let Jessa Ramirez and Mckenzie Leitgen run wild. Ramirez scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Leitgen went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Takoah Jones, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Desert Vista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .474 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Mountain View unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Red Mountain by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Toros have suffered since March 15, 2024.
Mountain View saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadlie Goodman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Mountain View's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Desert Vista, their record now sits at 18-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Desert Vista hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .488. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as they've averaged .374. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Desert Vista's way against Mountain View in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Desert Vista made off with a 10-4 win. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Toros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
