After two games on the road, Dixie is heading back home. They will take on the Snow Canyon Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dixie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Snow Canyon likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Dixie faced Pine View in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dixie came out on top against Pine View by a score of 61-50.
Kyle Lemke was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Breckon Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Cedar scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Snow Canyon still came out on top. Snow Canyon walked away with a 67-57 victory over Cedar.
Owen Mackay continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Snow Canyon's points. Another player making a difference was Trey Kelsch, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Snow Canyon, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
