Beaufort Academy had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-37 win over the Holy Trinity Classical Christian Mighty Lions on Friday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Beaufort Academy can attribute much of their success to Devin Fripp, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Paulk, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 13 points.

Beaufort Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Beaufort Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Holy Trinity Classical Christian, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
