Cypress Springs was led to victory by Jemini Mitchell and Ayla Mcdowell. Mitchell dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Mcdowell dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Mcdowell's 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bria Knight, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Cypress Springs pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Cypress Woods, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.
Cypress Springs will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Cypress Springs is ranked 12th). As for Cypress Woods, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cypress Park at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Cypress Park and three for Cypress Woods.
