After losing to Northside Christian Academy the last time they met, Orangeburg Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 28-15 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Orangeburg Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but J'Syri Parker led the charge by rushing for 68 yards and two TDs. An impressive showing, but Parker really ramped things up playing D: he picked up three sacks and made eight total tackles. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Tilden Riley, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Orangeburg Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Leading the way was Parker with three.

Orangeburg Prep's record is now 5-3. As for Northside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Orangeburg Prep and Northside Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Indians see the field they'll take on Patrick Henry Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Northside Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Florence Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
