Kearney and Lincoln Southeast are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bearcats will challenge the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kearney is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Kearney will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Lincoln Northeast on Thursday. The Bearcats never let the Rockets get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Ashtyn Vancura was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Southeast faced Norfolk in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights won by a goal and slipped past the Panthers 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Southeast.

Lincoln Southeast's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Kearney, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Kearney was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Southeast when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
