They put the hurt on the Flashes with a sharp 47-25 win. University Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.
University Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tacarri Neal, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neal has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Tatum, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Despite the defeat, St. Joseph Academy had strong showings from Zariyah Turner, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and Kelly Cramer, who scored 11 points. That was a full 56% of St. Joseph Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win made it two in a row for University Christian and bumps their season record up to 16-6. As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
University Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eagle's View at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Eagle's View's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so University Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against St. Johns Country Day at 7:00 p.m. St. Joseph Academy is coming into the contest with 11 straight defeats at home, meaning St. Johns Country Day will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
