Even though the Muckleshoot Tribal Kings scored an imposing 71 points on Tuesday, the Auburn Adventist Falcons still came out on top. Auburn Adventist walked away with a 79-71 victory over Muckleshoot Tribal. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Auburn Adventist also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Auburn Adventist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Russell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Russell is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Walker, who scored 15 points.
Auburn Adventist's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Muckleshoot Tribal, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Auburn Adventist is on the road again on Thursday and play against Rainier Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. Rainier Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Auburn Adventist is ranked 153rd). As for Muckleshoot Tribal, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Evergreen Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Evergreen Lutheran will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
