The Ganesha Giants started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against the La Puente Warriors. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 24-21. Ganesha has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
La Puente was led to victory by Junior Preyer and Ezekeil Zamora. Preyer picked up 154 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Zamora threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. La Puente also got help from Ivan Lopez who showed off his sure hands for 99 receiving yards.
Ganesha has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for La Puente, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ganesha will take on Bassett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Puente, they will be playing at home against Garey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garey is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
