The Saugerties Sawyers lost against the Averill Park Warriors back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. Saugerties lost to Averill Park on the road  by a decisive  51-36 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Saugerties has scored all season.
 When it comes to explaining why Saugerties lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Nick Stinemire. Despite the final result, he  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 12  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Stinemire  scored 15 or more  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Damon Weishaupt, who  scored four points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Saugerties' defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  bumped their record down to 6-5. As for Averill Park, their victory  ended a four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-8.
 Saugerties will take on Rondout Valley at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Rondout Valley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Averill Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
