The Gateway Charter Academy Gators pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Life Oak Cliff. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), Gateway Charter Academy still had to take the loss.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khing Williams, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bobby Williams, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Gateway Charter Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Life Oak Cliff, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-10.
Gateway Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-59 win vs. Inspired Vision on the 9th. Life Oak Cliff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
