John Ray Gonzales and Jonathan Witt provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Sabinal. The longest such play in 1A-2 Region IV District 16 this season, the connection resulted in 76 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, La Pryor beat the Yellowjackets 35-27. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bulldogs.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Witt. The La Pryor star has 23 catches for 554 yards.
La Pryor moved up to 779 from 842 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Justin Stephens' team was able to move up by besting Sabinal 35-27.
