The Starkville Yellowjackets and the Oak Grove Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Starkville Yellowjackets had to settle for second. They took a 33-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Starkville's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Among those leading the charge was Damari Jefferson, who picked up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for three yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Starkville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Oak Grove, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Starkville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Grove also has no future games currently scheduled.
