Fond du Lac Ojibwe O has struggled against Red Lake recently, as their contest on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Red Lake can attribute much of their success to Raquel Stillday, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Audri Lussier, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Fond du Lac Ojibwe O's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Red Lake, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Fond du Lac Ojibwe O will be home for the holidays to greet Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Red Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
