The Platte Valley Broncos will face off against the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Platte Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Bennett, taking the game 4-1.
Hazen Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan Hackett, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Moffatt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Dayspring Christian Academy got the win against Holly on Saturday by a conclusive 16-1.
Josiah Rodriguez made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Rodriguez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Logan Vaniddekinge was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Gage Davis was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Dayspring Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holly only posted an OBP of .250.
Dayspring Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Platte Valley, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
Platte Valley might still be hurting after the 17-5 loss they got from Dayspring Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Can Platte Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
