Softball Recap: Monroe Wins Going Away Against Huron

Monroe never got on the board in their matchup last Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Huron on Monday. They blew past the River Rats 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Monroe has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Huron, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Coming up, Monroe will face off against Pinckney at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
