Balboa pushed their score all the way to 72 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Mission by a score of 74-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (71), Balboa still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Galileo pushed their score all the way to 58 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The matchup between them and Washington wasn't particularly close, with Galileo falling 75-58. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Galileo in their matchups with Washington: they've now lost three in a row.
Balboa has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Galileo, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.
Balboa came up short against Galileo in their previous matchup last Friday, falling 54-50. Can Balboa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
