Leading Middle Creek to victory were Yasir Hall and Greyson Land. Hall scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Land scored 18 points along with four steals. The contest was Hall's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Obataobie Okafor was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Middle Creek pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for South Johnston, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middle Creek will take on Holly Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for South Johnston, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Smithfield-Selma at 7:15 p.m.
