The Conway Springs Cardinals had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-6 win over Stanton County at home. The result was nothing new for Conway Springs, who have now won six contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Brayden Kunz, who rushed for 194 yards on only six carries. Kunz's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Conway Springs' win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points per game. As for Stanton County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Conway Springs will take on Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Zane Farney and Kunz. Stanton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
