D'Iberville took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Moss Point on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points D'Iberville has scored all season.
Leading Moss Point to victory were Tyrese Ricardo and Quey'sean Taylor. Ricardo scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while Taylor scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jujuan Nettles was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
D'Iberville bumped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Moss Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
D'Iberville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Brandon at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Moss Point won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
