Dulaney has gone a perfect 6-0 against Patapsco recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Dulaney will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Thursday, Dulaney made easy work of Sparrows Point and carried off a 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Patapsco brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 21-11 margin over Chesapeake on Tuesday. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Gabby Warnick made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Warnick was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Patapsco got a massive performance out of Alexa Welsh, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Harleigh Nadeau, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple.
Patapsco kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Dulaney's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Patapsco, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Everything went Dulaney's way against Patapsco when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Dulaney made off with a 14-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
