Westfield (Chantilly, Va.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 41-27 victory over
Herndon (Va.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Tyler Thrashe-walker touchdown run in the second quarter, the Bulldogs led 28-7 at the half.
Westfield expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Thrashe-walker touchdown run.
The Chantilly school's standout player in the win was Thrashe-walker. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Denzel Weaver made a difference for the Hornets. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 64-7 win for the Bulldogs.
