It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lafayette Rams had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 17-7 win over the Tigers. Winning may never get old, but Lafayette sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
The critical scores for Lafayette came from Hayden Oleksy and Nazeer Wolmart.
The last time Lafayette lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won three straight away matchups, they've pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Brentsville District, their defeat ended a 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.
Lafayette will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Lafayette likes a good challenge. Brentsville District does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
