Scott's Branch scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manning Monarchs. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Monarchs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Scott's Branch's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Frajon Bennett, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyren Bowman, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

Scott's Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Manning, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Scott's Branch will be home for the holidays to greet Crestwood at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manning, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-46 victory against Myrtle Beach on the 13th.
