Bell is 6-1 against Fossil Ridge since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bell Blue Raiders' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Fossil Ridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Bell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
Bell struggled with offensive rebounds on Saturday (Alief Hastings had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bell took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alief Hastings.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Roman Washington, who scored 11 points. Washington set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Roberson, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge waltzed into Saturday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over Texas City.
Bell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Fossil Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Bell was able to grind out a solid victory over Fossil Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 58-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
