  JD Pease was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Pease was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Pease wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Derek Villegas, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Churchill, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record  this season.
 Marshall might still be hurting after the  9-2 defeat they got from Churchill  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Can Marshall avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
