Homestead is 0-10 against Los Gatos since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Homestead had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Gunn on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Titans 20-9. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won four in a row.

Homestead let Elisa Coyle and Izzy Gutierrez run wild. Coyle went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Coyle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gwyn Romero, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Homestead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gunn only posted an OBP of .452.
Los Gatos not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 11-0). They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Wilcox. Considering the Wildcats have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Danica DeSantis tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Addie Sorto was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Grace Tucker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Los Gatos pushed their record up to 11-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Homestead, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Homestead hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Los Gatos struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Homestead might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Los Gatos in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
