The Moore County Raiders had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Forrest with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-40. The victory was just what Moore County needed coming off of a 83-39 defeat in their prior match.
Despite the defeat, Forrest had strong showings from Tristan Goad, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Jimmy Bond, who scored three points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Bond.
Moore County's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Forrest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore County will face off against Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Culleoka is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Forrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Eagleville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
