The Broadmoor Buccaneers will challenge the McKinley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Broadmoor has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while McKinley will arrive with five straight wins.
Broadmoor fell victim to West Feliciana's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 57-0 loss at the hands of the Saints. While losing is never fun, Broadmoor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 260th, while West Feliciana is ranked 100th).
Meanwhile, McKinley beat Belaire 22-14 on Friday.
Broadmoor's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.5 points per game. As for McKinley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Broadmoor was taken down by McKinley 57-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can Broadmoor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
