Southwest Leadership Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Western SciTech Aztec Warrior 58-24. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Ayden Gonzales was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah Murphy, who went 8 of 14 en route to 17 points and four steals.

Southwest Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Western SciTech, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Southwest Leadership Academy has already played their next game, a 67-23 win against Tri City Prep on the 17th. As for Western SciTech, they will venture away from home to square off against Maricopa Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Western SciTech is facing Maricopa Institute of Technology at the right time seeing as Maricopa Institute of Technology is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
