Basketball Recap: Lawrenceville Piles Up the Points Against Washington Catholic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrenceville). They claimed a resounding 67-17 victory over the Washington Catholic Cardinals. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrenceville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Ivers, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Elise Crawford, who went 7-for-10 on her way to 15 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Lawrenceville was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 2-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win made it two in a row for Lawrenceville and bumps their season record up to 3-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Washington Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lawrenceville will venture away from home to square off against Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington Catholic, they will welcome Seven Oaks Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
