The White Plains Christian Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Oak Level Baptist Academy Conquerors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
White Plains Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-24 walloping at the hands of Calvary Christian. While losing is never fun, White Plains Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Cougar are ranked 142nd).
Meanwhile, Oak Level Baptist Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell just short of Sheets Memorial Christian by a score of 35-33.
White Plains Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Oak Level Baptist Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
White Plains Christian strolled past the Conquerors in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 51-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for White Plains Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
